Which is better. LIke when doing the eliptical or arc trainer (am arc trainer is kind of like an eliptical but more of a gliding up and down motion) is it better to go fast or to use more resistance and go slower. I dont mean like barley moving slower i just mean not as fast lol. does that make sense?

It's better to use more resistance and go slower.
Things like interval programming that is built in is actually perfect because it combines both speed and resistance for you.
Variation is always key, confuse your muscles, make them grow stronger.0 -
slower and also when lifting weights the slower the more you will feel it, the slower you go the harder it is you do not have the speed to help you0

Most machines like the Arc trainer, ellipticals, and treadmills have a fat-burn pre-set that you can choose to where it alternates you between super-high resistance and low resistance intervals. That way, you are not killing yourself by being on a high resistance for your entire workout, BUT in the time you need to come down from the high resistance you are still able to push your speed if you want, to up your heart rate. Next time you are at the gym, play with the programs and see what you can find.0
