Have you ever tried to get nutrition information for the beloved Malley's? Well I did and I could not believe the run around I got in return. I actually had to leave a voice mail message with their corporate office asking them to call me in reference to the Dark Chocolate Lucious Coconut Easter Eggs. Urggh!

Apparently, the chocolate industry is not required to label their products with nutrition information as I was told by one of the associates who despondently told me that it (the regulation) is coming. I got the feeling that Malleys is not happy about providing this information. She actually told me that no one had every asked them for nutrition information before. I don't believe that for a minute. Here's the deal; we all know that chocolate needs to be consumed in moderation, so help us reach our goals and don't try to hide the information from us or we may stop buying the product until it is properly labeled. I know I will not buy anymore chocolate from them. A Dove will do just fine.

Wow I can't believe that! I stick to the foods that make their nutrition info available. If they don't I probably don't even want to know!!

It's true! I called two locations and the persons on the other end of the phone seemed really nervous when I told them what I wanted. I was placed on hold by both associates and when they came back, they had some story about how they did not keep that information in their retail store. One person said she couldn't give me the information (phone number) for the person who has the information -that she had to take a message. That's what prompted me to call another store and yet another nervous associate seemed very anxious to be rid of me.

You're right. I wouldn't normally eat something that did not contain the nutrition information, I ordered these chocolates a month ago before I started my diet. You'd expect a big corporation such as Malley's to have nutrition information easily accessible on their web site.

Beitasitmay, I had to take a worse case scenario in my diet diary. 500 calories for the single darn egg.
