I do HIIT on the elliptical and various other machines twice a week. I'm looking for recommendations on what I should do the other 3 days of the week. I do not work out on the weekends. I'm also investing in a HRM so my workouts will be more effective no matter what I choose to do.

Personally, I love yoga. It doesn't burn a lot of calories, but I can definitely feel it toning my body. It's also very relaxing. =).

30 day shred even if you aren't doing it every day

The Jillian Michaels workouts are really good, and it's nice to be able to do at home. Or invest in a new or used bike, and get outside! :)

I'd say either weights or go out and enjoy a nice relaxing walk somewhere.

Stay with what your doing for at least 30 days, then change your routine so as the system doesn't get into a normal pattern. Shock it!!! Kettle bell right now they are saying is one of the best workouts for the body. Strength and cardio combined.. You can find a good kettle bell workout on line for free, and it's a great workout. But do make sure and add some strength training in to help strengthen your muscles up to support the new you.. Your doing good, keep going strong....

I would encourage weight training, or something to build lean muscle but be careful of kettlebells because there are very few trainers certified to teach them and the proper use of kettlebells is key to an effective and more importantly a safe workout. Free weights are just as effective and more useful, in my opinion, than kettlebells.
