Is it bad if I'm over my daily protein allowance?

Almost every day I've been over my protein allowance, but under the carbs and calories. Is this something to worry about? I wouldn't think "too much" protein could be a bad thing...

I've increased my protein because i'm doing a bunch of weight training and the muscles need the increase in protein to help repair after the strain. At least that's what I've read, hopefully it's right lol

I don't think it is a bad thing to be over on protein as long as you are under or close on everything else.

Protein is a building block for muscle. When you are are exercising you are basically damaging and stressing tissues. You need protein to help repair tissues and recovery from the stresses.

As long as it isn't excessive you should be fine.

NO. Unless you have kidney issues (ie stones) then more protein than MFP's default setting of 15% is NOT a problem

To get to my goal of 0.5 grams per pound of body weight I had to change the numbers to 40% carb 30% protein and 30% fat.

To customize your own numbers go to my home.. .goals... change goals... custom... set the % you want and click update/change/ save whatever the green button is.

I go over almost everyday on purpose. Proterin builds muscle and cuts fat. Therefore I go over cause of that reason and I also go over in my fiber everyday as well cause fiber help you lose weight cause it help you to go to the bathroom and get rid of all the food of the day. Not sure if that is what you wanted to hear but it works for me so good luck and do what you feel is right for your body.

I would change your protein to 30 If u go up on protein u have to come down on something else. I'm also set at 40 carbs 30 protein and 30 fat. It has worked so far getting me out of my plateau.
