I love making canned salmon into salmon patties. It's just canned salmon (drained), a few tablespoons of bread crumbs, a little bit of egg, formed into patties and cooked in nonstick spray in a pan for a few minutes until brown on both sides. Serve with salad or veggies.0

Honestly, I eat it straight from the can and absolutely love it. I've tried a few different brands and the Bear and Wolf Salmon is by far the best.0

you can mix it like tuna salad, you can saute up some peppers, onion add an egg and bread crumbs and make salmon cakes.
Good luck. Enjoy it's very good for you

mixed with balsamic vinegar, add some rocket and put in a wrap. easy, yummy lunch0

Throw it on a salad, mix it with some olive oil and/or balsamic vinegar if you don't like it plain. If you haven't tried it though it's pretty good out of the can, it's basically just flaked salmon.0

Grilled salmon with herbs & pepper and then mix it with some delicious green salad, finely chopped and make it more exciting by adding some parsley and baby potatoes0

Use canned salmon in just about anyplace you would use canned tuna.
My husband is vegetarian. I oftentimes make him whole wheat rotini and salmon with homemade mayonnaise, chopped green onions, dried dill weed, basil and oregano, herbamare (sea salt & dried herbs), and pepper. He absolutely loves it!
You can use canned salmon in lasagna, or mix it with brown rice and white kidney beans. It's great mixed in with cottage cheese and eaten with a dark green leafy salad. I toss it right into my husband's salad - helps reduce the amount of salad dressing I have to use. Salmon is also great on whole grain crackers and in wraps!
Add canned salmon to a vegetable stir-fry or add it to your egg white green onion omelette in the morning.
Hope this helps :happy:0 -

salmon crumbled into salad is good. also i've taken and boiled some egss. then cut in half and scoop out the yolk and mix up like you do for deviled eggs (egg yolk, mustard and a small dab of mayo mixed up) and add in the salmon to the yolk mixture sprinkle on a bit of sea salt and pepper to taste. then scoop the mixture back into the egg halves. sprinkle on a bit of cayenne pepper and enjoy.0

First attempt = Not thrilling
OK, was totally going to make the salmon cakes but realized I didnt have any eggs in the fridge.
So I decided the just put the salmon in the oven with a little Mrs. Dash and brown it.
Then I steamed some peas and corn in the microwave and put it all together.
It wasn't bad, turned out to be a good size portion all for about 365 calories.
I will go out and get some egg beaters and try those salmon cakes one day this week.0 -
I have been eating plain Salmon sandwiches since I was a little kid. The Red canned salmon, with a little bit of vinegar mixed. On some wheat bread with a little salt and a lot of pepper. Love it..but hubby won't even taste it!0

I will try this. I love Salmon patties.0

I prefer to just eat it as is...bones and all (but not the skin or that stringly spine thingy). But then the kids don't get dinner that way, so I make patties with it.
1 can salmon
2 eggs
1/2 cup parmasan cheese
season to taste.
Form into patties, fry. I get 7 patties out of this. I don't use bread crumbs cause I'm a low-carb eater and these taste SO good with the parm.
Or adding the salmon into a quiche is really good too.0 -
I make it a couple ways. I mix it with white wine vinegar and 1 tsp of olive oil. Mix it with carrots and cabbage and top with sprouts on a whole wheat tortilla.
Mix it with 2 oz. plain non fat Greek yogurt (I like Fage, but any will do), fresh cilantro, garlic powder, pepper, and some dill. Use it as a dip with some kind of whole wheat crackers...Triscuits or Kashi are both good brands. Make sure the box says whole grains.0 -
I make the salmon cakes but instead of breadcrumbs I use reduced fat crackers. Im not big on breadcrumbs:) when I make it I eat them I also have saurkraut and black eye peas and a boiled new potato.... Im from the South can you tell LOL!0
