I rode on a plane this weekend for the first time in a few years. At one time in the past, it would take everything I had to get the seat belt fastened. Push myself back into the seat, suck in my prodigious gut, pull the seat belt as hard as I could to stretch it and wind myself trying to get it buckled.

Here is what it looks like now

Thanks - I made a business trip every other weekend for a year with that sort of experience. It was depressing and embarassing. It's hard to find words to explain how it felt to see the improvement.

Brilliant! Well done! Now, if only they could sort a way for a bit more leg room for us taller peeps we could all ride in comfort! LOL

Congrats! What a triumph! I bet you were floating on air. LOL Sorry, bad pun. I had to go there though. All joking aside, your hard work has really paid off.....thanks for the inspiration! Keep up the good work!

    ah the airplane seat!

that was my motivation to really get stuck in and lose some weight.... after one of the most uncomfortable flights in my life, when my stomach was almost touching the food tray and i had to shrink my shoulders in the whole trip (i do have broad shoulders, but i think all the fat in between was making it alot worse). i really realised that i didn't want to fly again while i was that fat, and certainly not any fatter...

admittedly it was an old plane with ridiculously small seats, but no excuse, i should be able to just fit into a seat for goodness sakes.
