I drink water all day long other then my morning cup of coffee it is all I drink. I have a 20oz bottle that I use. Today since I was home all day I figured I would actually log it just to see how much I am drinking. Well I am already at 7 bottles so that is 140oz of water. Is that too much? It is only 9pm and I will probably have 1 or 2 more before it is time for bed so I will be up around 180oz.
Maybe it seems like more today since like I said I don't normally track it I just drink and refill as needed. I have no doubt I get the minimum but should I slow down? Will it mess with my weight at all tomorrow? Can you drink too much?

I too only drink water all day long. I use and refill a large cup that holds 4 cups of water, and refill it several times per day, in addition my water bottle that I use while working out which is 24 oz and I consume 2 of those while working out. I would think that so long as you find yourself going to the bathroom and you are passing it no problem then its not too much. I would also imagine that any sodium you are consuming is being offset by this also, therefore, not really keepingn too much water weight.....now granted, if you were to consume all this water too quickly and didnt get rid of it, then yes, that will affect your weight, but not for long....a pound or so I would think would be the max?0

Thanks
It just seems like a lot when you lay it out like that...I mean the recommended minimum is 64oz and I am drinking almost 3x's that. If it is good then I am good.
Thanks again!0 -
Yes, it's definitely possible to drink too much (which is just as dangerous as drinking too little). It dilutes your electrolytes and wreaks havoc on some of your organs. However, I'm not certain how much is "too much", sorry. :frown:0
