Does anyone else out there have to cook different meals for the family and how/what do you do? Any tips for resisting and keeping it interesting? :o)

When i'm home my family eats what i do it's good habit for them to eat healthier food. So when they grow up they learn good eating habits.

Hi Laura, I do!!! I'm on diet chef - so all my meals are delivered to my door ready cooked - I just have to pop them in the microwave but I still have to cook for my husband and daughter (my daughter is a vegetarian and my husband is a confirmed meat eater!) I also have my other daughters over and my grandchildren - so it is difficult and I do sympathise with you - the only way I can resist is to keep reminding myself of my goals - sometimes I find myself picking at the things I'm having to cook - and I haven't in the past counted those calories but they do mount up - I try really hard not to do that now - and I keep lots of salad and fruit to pick at whilst I'm cooking! Good luck on your journey to slimdom! xxx

I cook the same thing for everyone as far as the sides go; but my hubby eats meat, my son does not, and I am obviously counting my calories. I pre-portion meat so that it is available for my hubby's dinner and I always keep spinach, and all of the other salad veggies pre-washed and chopped in the fridge. On Sundays I try to cook a veggie filled light lasagna or other freezable dish to help free up some time for hectic weeknights. It took a bit of getting used too, but now I do not feel like I am doing any extra work than I used too. Best of luck to you!

Absolutly! Im a vegetarian & my boyfriend definately is not. I tend to do my food shopping & then get all of my meals prepared for the whole week. You know, all the vegies chopped, meat in the fridge to defrost etc etc. It makes things ALOT easier for when your cooking multiple meals a night. Ive been doing it this way for so long I couldnt do it any other way now!

I agree with Newman. I make the same meals.. sometimes I eat more greens than my son and I eat smaller portions, but it's good for them to develop healthy habits now.

    Best,

    Debbie

I have to cook a seperate meal for my oldest son who is autistic and has texture issues. Sometimes it gets a bit tiring cooking multiple meals everyday. The other 5 eat the same as myself and DH
