Do you weigh yourself everyday

I weigh everyday ..which is great when I lose but not great when I gain.
Friday... 197. Sunday 195.4 and Monday197.4. So was happy for a day when I thought I hit 195 but today it's changed.
It doesn't make me want to give up.. I understand fluctuations. I didn't eat badly yesterday either, so not sure why it was up. Maybe Sunday was a fluke. I think it is interesting to see the changes.
I don't log it here everyday, only if it maintains for a few days.. so maybe once or twice a week I would log it.0 -
I'm planning on doing it every day because it's interesting to see how a previous day's activities can effect your weight, but I'm not going to be disappointed in minor changes. Plus, I'm only going to count it once a week. This is probably because I used to have a Wii fit and I liked the graph... the graph is a big bonus on here for me.0

I usually do, BUT... I don't let it affect me one way or the other.0

I weigh almost every day. It keeps me motivated. I record when I have a significant loss but don't freak over the ups and downs.0

I weigh myself Monday to Friday. And I usually record it.0

I weight myself everyday so that I know that if I go up two pounds, I better not start loading up on carbs... hehehe0

OMG, if I weighed myself every day I'd go insane. I try to weigh myself once a week, 10 days if I can wait that long. I'm the type that if I'm up 2 pounds from the day before I become discouraged and begin thinking negatively about myself...so I stay as far away from that scale as possible. Right now the only reason I weigh myself is to make sure I'm using the correct amount of calories to base my diet off of.0

I do because I find it intersting to see the fluctuations....it's a gradual downward slope. It's not neccessary but I enjoy it.0

I was doing it a few times a day until I consistently got the lowest weight first thing in the AM. Now I only do it every morning. I only log it here when there's a loss because, well, I'm following the plan and I know that there WILL be a loss eventually. Why depress myself by admitting to a gain that wasn't caused by anything I did? :-D0

Everyday...BUT....and its a big BUT (no point intended lol) if you are easily discouraged I wouldn't recommended it. I am very much aware my weight fluctuates, even up to 2-4lbs sometimes and I allow myself to let it go and not obsess about it. I only believe what the scale tells me only if it says the same weight (within 1/2 lb) for 3 days in a row.0

I weigh myself a couple times a day when I'm actively trying to lose weight. First thing in the morning, then a couple times in the evening. Weighing so often makes me accountable throughout the day, and because I weight myself regularly, I am familiar with my body's fluctuations. Like I know that almost always, I will be about 4 pounds heavier at night than in the morning, if I am maintaining my weight. So less than 4 pounds typically means I am on the verge of losing. That keeps me motivated, when I'm tempted to snack late at night.
I also agree that weighing myself regularly gives more data points. If I were to only weigh myself once a week, and it happened to be on a day where there is a slight gain or no change, I know it would zap all my motivation. Weighing in regularly lets me be aware of the fluctuations, and know that there has been progress throughout the week. I only record it once a week though.0 -

Oh, now that is super interesting! I haven't really been weighing myself at night, but I think I may start to do that as well, so I can figure out on average how much heavier I am then. Very neat. Yay data!0 -
I weigh myself most mornings and post losses. Personally, I get more positive motivation than negative discouragement, even if there are fluctuations. I found it frustrating to only weigh once a week, because the odd time my weigh-in day was also the day my weight went up because of water retention or some indulgences the day before. I found that very depressing - felt like I had blown a whole week, even though that wasn't the case.
I feel like daily weigh-ins give me a much better picture of my weight loss, but thats just me.0 -
I have always weighed myself almost daily. The only time I stopped was in the last two years while my weight creeped up into the overweight category. I knew it wasn't a number I wanted to see so I stopped weighing. Now that I'm back to a healthy weight, I will continue to weigh daily just to keep an eye on it. I don't expect to see a daily loss and don't freak out over fluctuations, but I can see how it would be harmful to some people to weigh daily. For me, if I don't make it a habit, then I start to let other bad habits (eating junk, failing to exercise regularly) creep in and I can stay in denial about what effect they are having on my body and health. It's a sign of my commitment to a healthy lifestyle to make regular weigh-ins a part of my habits.0

I every morning about 15 min after I wake up right after I use the bathroom. I log once a week but I like to see what changes can happen !0
