Weighing meat

When they say you're supposed to have 4oz or whatever of "meat" with your meal, is that raw or cooked?

    It depends for me. If I have a package of meat with the weight already on it. I use that weight. If I have to weigh it myself I weigh it cooked.

    That's what works for me.

    weight is usually for raw uncooked meat
