It looks good to me! Are you not losing weight? Is that why you are asking? You should keep track of your sodium. Too much sodium can cause water retention. Also, you should just eat raw sugar insted of splenda. Splenda is so bad for you! :sick: Also, if it is the lack of movement on the scale that is bothering you, you should measure your waist, hips, ect. It is a better judge of fat loss than the scale! your meals look very well balanced but you're always going over on your sugar. maybe try watching your sugar (it shows up in a lot of unexpected places!) id suggest more vegetables and less fruit, but besides that it looks like an incredibly good plan (id still stick with splenda)

Well, could probably do with cutting down your fat and sugar on some days, more so your sugar though.
Cut out things like the raspberry fruit spread and the syrup which are both very high in sugar, especially to have together in one meal. Cut out chocolate cereal too! There's much better cereals out there that are better for you.
Go for a few more vegetables and a bit less fruit and that'll help cut your sugar down too.
There were a couple of days of really big lunches and dinners, why? You should try and spread it out, always have breakfast!
Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and breakfast like a pauper!
Personally, I stay away from juices as well, they're usually high in sugar and a lot of calories!0 -
I am soliciting advice because i want to make sure i am maximizing my calories; i am really trying to prevent Empty Calorie Eating.
Yes, it seems I often go over on sugar, but this seems to happen even on days when I have nothing sugary (like yesterday) all day. I am at a loss to what to do; I have in the last couple days completely cut out juices, drinking nothing but water and no-calorie drinks. I have at least one fruit a day, but i don't think i should cut out fruit from my diet entirely. That piece of fruit has nutritional value, and i am not having fruit at every meal or even much fruit in a day. I think the real problem is that MFP calculates my goal of calories at 1200/day before exercise, and calculates that i burn 1900 calories a day. I said my weight loss goal would be 1.5 pounds per week, so a 700 calorie/day defecit equals 4900 calories, or 1.5 lbs. However, in my first two weeks, i lost 10 pounds, not 3 pounds; which leads me to believe that i actually burn a lot more than 1900 calories a day, and that only eating or staying under my 1200 calories is simply not enough in a day to consume. So if i go over a little bit on sugar or calories in a day than the MFP goal, it's probably okay. Bottom line: i am not trying to starve myself to achieve weightloss, and i am okay with eating and eating good; I just want to make sure that i am eating good!
I never have a day off; but i occasionally have a meal off (as in Saturday morning, when i had french toast. i only do that one one weekend day, and i'm still tracking and using serving sizes for my portions).
The choclate o's cereal is an organic wheat and rice cereal and has some good nutritional value to it. I would prefer shredded wheat cereal, though, and next chance i get i will buy some.
I do try to always have breakfast, but some days i am too busy in the mornings and i can't take time to eat until lunch time. On those days, I still need to eat my calories for the day so i make up for it in 2 big meals instead of 3 moderately sized meals.
I know artificial sweeteners aren't good for me, but i dont have them what i would consider "often", and it's a nice substitute when i am always going over my sugars but i can't stand plain tea or coffee.

Everyone gave great suggestions, except for the ones about cutting out fruit to reduce sugar. I don't suggest doing this. Fruit provides great nutritional benefits, and unless you have Diabetes, the natural sugar that comes from fruit, is a very good kind of sugar!! I would just stay away from processed sugars such as ones in cereals and sugary snacks.
Even regular cows milk is loaded with natural sugars!0
