Does anyone else get nausea after exercising?

I do taebo(45mins) every other day about 30mins to 1hr after eating breakfast. Right afterward I get nauseous. I would really like to know if anyone knows why or how to stop it. Thanks!

    oh god yes especially if im pushing myself really hard

    if im drinking lots of water during my workout it seems to help but ive heard from some people that water during a workout is a bad idea?

    bottom line idk but im here with you on this one ;{

    My suggestion would be to eat only half of your breakfast before the exercise. Oftentimes you feel nauseous because you've either eaten too much or are working out too hard. If you wear a heart rate monitor, you'll know if you are working too hard.

    It happens, you are probably over-exerting yourself. I don't eat before a cardio workout for at least two hours to make sure I don't get nauseated. Is it possible for you to do the taebo and then eat?

    what are you eating for breakfast? It could be that you aren't getting enough fuel prior to excercise. Everyone's body is different. My sister in law can't work out before like 10 b/c no matter what she does she gets nauseous. But I'm fine to wake up at 5 and not eat anything before.

    If you do cardio too soon after eating, you're likely upsetting your stomach by jostling everything around.

    I wait at least an hour after eating to start any cardio exercise.

    Also, try to drink at least 8 oz. of water every half hour or so while exercising.

    You also might be doing too much and not refueling properly or refueling enough. If you're doing at least 45-60 minutes of cardio, consider getting some energy gels or nutrition during your workout. Not refueling properly could also be adding to your nausea.

  • I think I'll try that, but I'm always starving in the morning. Maybe I should hold off on my coffee also. I usually eat oatmeal or multigrain cheerios. And have 2 cups of coffee with creamer and sweet and low.
  • Depending on how much you eat for breakfast, you may not be allowing your body enough time to digest it. If you're only eating 1-300 calorie breakfasts, then an hour is usually sufficient. However, if you're eating a bigger breakfast, then I would suggest waiting 2 hours before you exercise, or waiting until after you exercise to eat your breakfast.
    Also, as with the others who commented, you might be overexerting yourself. Try to check your heart rate periodically throughout your workout to make sure you're ok.

    I used to get the nausea but not anymore. Like others have said, it's best not to eat in the hour before you exercise, and staying hydrated helps, a lot.

    Also make sure that you are well hydrated all day. If you are chronically dehydrated you can get crams and nausea from the exertion. I have to wait 2 hours after I eat before I can work out, or I get nauseous or even have problems with regurgitation. But, if I am undernourished and haven’t eaten, I will also experience nausea. So, make sure you are well fed, well watered, and that you don’t do it too close to your workout.

    I try to make sure I haven't eaten right before I work out, because I have had this happen to me a few times. Try to leave a 2 hour window if you can...that might help.

  • I get the same thing but DURING exercise. Sometimes I find it is when I am REALLY pushing myself. My heart rate is usually around 160 bpm when i start feeling sick.
