Weight loss not fast enough???

Okay, so I'm really struggling to remember that it didn't take me a month to gain 50 pounds, therefore it's not all going to come off in a month... I know that I'm doing the right thing for my body by working out and eating right (as well as the right amount). Is it just me, or do others of you out there struggle with this? There are days when I look at what I've eaten, and I know it's good, but part of my brain says, "Oh come on, you could just do 800 calories a day". Fortunately, the smart part of my brain reminds me that this is not the way weight loss is done.
So, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to keep motivated and be happy with a normal 2 pound a week weight loss?

When I exercise and eat right I want instant gratification. The closest thing I've come to is Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. Have you tried it? Stick with it for a week and I bet you'll see some results.0

I may have to try that. I'm into my 3rd week of Turbo Fire, and I swear I am going to finish this thing. It's good to know I'm not the only one who wants instant gratification weight loss!0

be happy you are losing 2lbs a week!! I have been stuck at the same weight for the last 3 weeks!! and I have been working out more and not having cheat days. I would LOVE to be back to losing 2lbs a week!!!
That really is the healthiest way..
Besides if its possible to lose 5pounds a week, its possible to put it right back on a week!
Hang in there!!!!0 -
That's exactly what got me into trouble before I joined here. To me, it's been awesome to actually eat and be losing, where I used to be a bigger B and deal with headaches from practically starving myself. I would lose drive from exhaustion. I just remember that when I think about how much I've lost, and remember that stressing over it isn't going to make the pounds melt off either.0

I'm the same way, and it's why I've always given up before. This time around, I'm trying to make myself realize I'm not going to lose a pound a day, and I'm not gonna be at my goal in 2 months. I basically have to just keep saying this stuff to myself all the time, sometimes multiple times a day lol. Hopefully soon it'll just be burned into my brain and I can stop looking for that instant weightloss.0

Thanks all! I really do need to look at this as 10 or maybe even 5 pounds at a time. If I start thinking 50 pounds, I'll probably give up after my first slip up! I think I'm more angry at myself than anything else. I've done this over and over and over again. Every time, I swear that I'm never going to gain the weight again, and there I am a year later, with most of it back on. I need to REALLY make this a lifestyle change, instead of a diet.0
