OK, about 14 months ago I had a breast reduction. I was a G cup and after surgery and 9 lbs of breast flesh removed I went to a size C. MY stomach suddenly stuck out further than my breasts...which was unusual for me. I have never lost breast tissue when i've lost weight in the past, and today I've notice that my new boobs appear...BIGGER! Now, I don't mind that they look bigger, b/c the reason for the reduction was that i totally could not breath like a normal person. They jiggle on their own now because my stomach is no longer holding them up...and I've lost a couple inches in band size. I know I'm weird...but I'm so excited.

Very happy for you and your success! I know with your breast issues that this is a big deal for you! I unfortunately have had the opposite problem and now look like I have 2 pushpins sticking out from a cork board... nothing there anymore. :(

You go girl, I don't think you are weird at all!! I had an aunt that had a breast reduction and she was so relieved of back pain when it was done. Unfortunately, I know how you feel about your belly holding up your boobs, I was having the same thing happen to me not that long ago, but I am losing weight and working out and I can already see some good positive changes that are keeping me motivated!!

    Good luck!

Lucky ducky! My surgeon did a breast lift with my reduction, so they're perky, but not as small as I wanted! I requested (and was told) I'd be a C. I'm still a D. :frown:

I told my surgeon a full c to small d...I ended up with a small C. LOL But honestly, I've never felt better. Its amazing to breath again!

I'm a 34GG (I just mentioned this in another post, actually) and I know your pain. I'm really hoping to lose some cup sizes as I slim down.

Really glad you're feeling happier with yours and with your shape, now!

Not sure about your insurance company but MANY will pay for the reduction for health reasons. Here the surgeon has to be able to remove a certain amount PLUS the other issues you mentioned you have with the indents and back. May be worth looking into!!

Lol I have perky 38DDs (if that's even possible????) which for some reason look ok to me but I think its mainly due to me being 5'9'' and a medium bone structure. I do want to get down to a B though and have made that one of my motivations as I'd like to be able to wear spaghetti straps and bikinis without feeling like a slut lol. I've always been so anticleavage on myself its not even funny. And the other thing making me sad is that victoria's secret isn't carrying 38DD for most bras so I'm wearing 38Ds which fit somehow... Still measured by them as a Double D though. Meh, I don't want to worry about it anymore haha. I'm hoping eating clean and weight lifting will get it all to shrink!

My surgery was paid for 100%. Everything was completely covered and taken care of for me (including the recovery medications; percocets, T3's). I love Canada's health care system! If you're located in Canada, it'll probably be covered. Otherwise, your insurance may cover it - ask them! :flowerforyou:

Good job! That has to be a good feeling.

Unfortunately for me, I always wanted boobs. My mom and sister (who are both overweight) have HUGE boobs, and when I was younger I always felt like I was adopted or something :) cause I didn't have em! Well when I gained a lot of weight after high school my small chest went to a big C probably got a D as well! That was the ONLY thing I liked about my body then so when I lost 50lbs the boobs were the first to go. Now I have a small B but its ok, at least I know I have smaller boobs but am happier altogether. :)

For all you flat ladies like me, : "A handful is all you need"- a good friend.

I had a breast reduction in 2009 i was a doubl H probably more like an I if im honest. I got taken down to a D which is fine for my height and build, i am 5'11". I have never felt better and i didnt have any pain or anything in recovery. Only had to stay in hospital for 1 night then got to go home. only had normal over the counter pain killers if and when i needed them. The scars have basically completely faded and i love being able to wear normal clothes now! I would have liked to go smaller but happy anyway! Since I have put on a bit of weight i have noticed them changing slightly but not much, still fit into the same bras but i just dont want them to end up getting really big again so that is another one of the reasons i am motivated! :)

I looked into having a reduction over 10 years ago, but they wouldn't do it until I lost 70lb. I also hadn't had children at that point, so I decided to wait until I had got them so the boobs could earnt their keep, not knowing it would take me over 10 years to have the children we had planned!
So I am now 40 with two children under 5, and my cleavage is at least a KK, the underwires don't actually sit on my chest they are about 2 inches off. I am hoping that if I carry on loosing I can go back to my GP to try again for the reduction.
I have lost nearly 30lb's so far, lost about 4inches off my chest/band size but only 2 off the bust. But I lost a lot of weight as a teenager doing my school exams and still went up 4 cups sizes in two months!

It would be nice to look down and see my feet, and also if I drop some food for it to land in my lap and not in my boobs!

I ended up having to pay cash. Insurance kept turning me down. Some insurance companies have panels that determine need. What they don't understand, is that very large breasts make it difficult to excercise, and cause multiple health problems. I'm pretty sure the panel is made up of a bunch of old men! haha Anyway, I got upset on the 3rd time I was turned down, and told the person I spoke to to get to 5 pound bags of flower and get a rope and hang them around their neck for 12 hours and see how they felt at the end of the day. He couldn't even respond....he just politely thanked me and hung up (told my husband the same thing!) Anyway, my always supportive husband understood my frustration and finally just paid for it.

I'm currently at a 42D and I'm sure I'll lose some of that as the weight comes off. I don't want to have reduction done as I'm 5'9" and they don't look out of proportion for me, but I would like for them to be hanging at about half way down my arms instead of closer to my elbows! Has anyone had a lift done, and if so, what type and were you happy with the results? Sometimes I worry that they'll look like two sacks that were tacked up and still be saggy :( Oh, the problems we women have!
