So here's the deal. I am only looking to lose 10 lbs weight rouhly 150lbs right now. I've been weight training since January and have gained enormous strength all over but have not gained weight. I've been tracking my food on here for about two months and usually stay under my goal for the day of 1580 (more when adding exercising). I haven't lost any weight for a long time and the only thing I can think of is that I'm eating the wrong foods at the wrong times and overdoing sugar. I have my mom's self dicipline when it comes to chocolate, cookies and the like, which is pretty much slim to none. What do you eat to curb your sweet tooth but still maintain your diet? I'm beginning to think that maybe I should try not eating back some of the exercise calories too. I Understand the logic of eating back the calories, but I feel like I'm just maintaining my weight. I have been training for a triathlon too, so I workout 6 out of 7 days most weeks. Hmmm....Any suggestions?

how are your measurements? it could be that your body is trying to tell you it's where it needs to be. you have probably replaced fat with muscle. i would check your measurements to see if they are where they need to be first and then try tweaking your diet if you feel like you need to lose some more.

I know they probably aren't the best but I eat Kellogg's Fiber Plus bars (The chocolate ones are my fave but the coconut ones taste similar to girl scout cookies). 120 cals and they're sweet like candy but with 6 grams of fiber. Or, if I'm cutting it close on calories, I'll make some hot tea and add sugar.

Ha, that's hilarious. I'm usually really good at spell checking myself. Oh well...

I know what you mean! I LOVE chocolate. I have found the VitaTops brownies and muffin tops are really good. Also if you like ice cream Skinny Cow Fudge bars are only 100 calories and very good. I have stopped all artificial sweeteners, found out they make you crave sugary sweet stuff. That is just plain cruel! Take your measurements, I have only lost 20 pounds since September, but am down one size in pants and tops. I can feel the muscles in my legs getting stronger! Don't give up, keep up all the good work you have been doing! You'll get there. I have a friend who is a size 6 that weighs 165, she's all muscle and only 20% body fat.

I don't deprive myself of a sweet. I just adjust the size of the serving. If I am craving chocolate, try ONE mini-size candy bar. If you want a cookie, eat ONE. Usually it is easier said than done but I just remind myself how long I have to work out to burn off the calories and that usually does the trick!

I have the same sweet tooth problem! I'll let myself eat sweets 1 day a week but stay to a strict diet and under calories the rest of the week.

I love to munch when watching tv and I believe in finding substitutes .. I make great fruit yogurt frozen pops that end up being about .. 30 cal ,3 g of sugar and 3 g of protein .. no fat each... one batch makes about 12 ... they really satisfy my sweet tooth .. still have that craving for chocolate with nuts but unfortunately I know I cannot eat a little peice .. I woulld want the whole big bar so I never buy them

Meth, Crack, Heroine AND it's great for weight loss!!!

JK. When I get an itch for some sweets I drink tons of water. TONS to the point where my stomach is bloated.

Thanks for sharing everyone! It's nice to know that I'm one among many who have this problem. Great suggestion about drinking extra water. I hate feeling bloated, but I'd rather it be from water than too much sugar/sweets.

Also, can I get your yogurt pop recipe? That sounds really good and something that I would eat for sure.
