What's your mantra?

My new mantra is: Think lean, eat lean, be lean. So far, so good. I have it rattling through my brain everytime I want to eat...and so far, I'm making great choices!

How about you? Do you have a mantra that's working for you?

I have a mantra when I meditate, but it isn't related to weight loss, so probably not relevant.

One time while I was doing lunges, I kept saying to myself, "DO YOU WANT THIS BODY? DO YOU?" I think my fiance fell over laughing at me.

No mantra..but I like to remind myself "that NOTHING tastes better then being healthy feels"
  • I have a couple that I tell my friends everyday:

    1. Attitude is everything. Stay focused. Stay positive. Stay motivated. Stay inpired.
    2. It's all in the inches baby...it's all in the inches

I don't have a mantra exactly and what motivates me is always changing, but I have been reminding myself of my header on my profile here, which is just the word 'unrelenting'.

It fires me up because I know I won't ever quit.

I think my grandmas is trying is for idiots you have to do...
    because she thinks...

    1. you WILL GET a good amazing paying job and don't have to try to find a job just do it.
    2. you WILL get your license there's no trying its a do

    why list them.
she thinks that anything you think you can do and there's no requirements or effort to try. that even tho this year i've TRIED harder to succeed in the things i can control in my life that I'm not good enough still because i'm only trying lol she's insane. i'm really tired of the lack of any kind of moral support i get from her

no wonder i have a mild hate for myself sometimes. everytime i try to be happy or do something she puts me down anyway.

    my mantra is:

"…to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another." ~Titus 3:2-3

one mantra that i say a lot during running (when i think i can't go one more step, i will this repeat over and over) is: "please, God, help me. for in my weakness, you are my strength." it has ALWAYS taken me where i need to go. in exercise and in life.

*edited to add: another mantra i love repeating is 'outwardly simple and inwardly rich'. :)

"You can't beat the person who never gives up"

"If you want to be exceptional you have to act exceptionally" (I like this one because I find myself thinking, it won't hurt to have one, everyone needs a break some times. But then I don't want to be like everyone else so I can't justify acting like them :))

I like these mantra's. I have a lot of different things I tell myself but I have to give Yoda credit for these wise words "Do or Do Not There Is No Try." =) I have it engraved on the back of my iPod and like to look at it when I want to stop running and whatever exercise Im doing.

    Great topic!!

When I am working out and I feel like I'm going to die I say to myself, "Whose strong? I'm STRONG!" Gets me through and keeps me focused
