Weighing In with a Trainer?

I saw my trainer tonight at the gym and she asked me what I was most looking forward to at our next session. I decided to space out our sessions to once a week so I'd have a chance to work my tail off during the week so she'd (possibly) see the results of all my hard work and dedication.
When I told her I wanted to have her measure and weigh me again, she seemed dumbfounded! Should I wait longer between actual Personal Trainer weigh/measure ins? I want to see if what I'm doing as my 'fitness homework' is paying off, but is it worth it to waste the time during my session each week getting the numbers?
What do you think?

I agree with your trainer -- weighing/measuring should be done once a month. Any more than that and you're subjecting yourself to unnecessary pain (like when you gain temporary weight during the week you're ovulating!) and also wasting valuable time with her.0

Good point!
I guess I'm looking for validation right now that what I'm doing is working and I want that gratification. Perhaps I can ask her to just weigh me on the same scale from my initial visit for a quick moment? I only have 5 prepaid sessions with her, which is why I chose to see her once a week.0 -
I do measurements and weight with my trainer every two months. He encourages me to focus on physical acheivements - like increasing the number of pull-ups I can do or the length of time I can run. He says that kind of thing is the true measure of health and fitness, not numbers. Have to say he's got a point. Its nice when the numbers go down but I feel amazing when I can do something I never did before or ever thought I could do.0
