Jumping Rope

Recently read about the calorie-burning power of rope jumping, so I went out and bought myself a speed jump rope and tried it out yesterday. I could only jump for a minute before getting too tired and wiping out! It's embarrassing, especially since I exercise regularly (running/walking/stepping 15-20 miles a week, and I strength train almost every day). Am I using a different set of muscles or something? Anyone know how to up my endurance to jump rope?

Jumping rope is like running or anything else, you have to work at it. If you did a minute last night, the next time aim for a minute and a half, the next 2 minutes.0
