So I'm doing a 10k in a couple of weeks and then that's where my motivation ends. Matter of fact since I don't feel like I don't have anything to look forward to past that, I'm kinda losing steam. The gym where I work out at has a group of guys and for an additional $40 a month, you can workout with them 2-3 times a week and learn MMA. I'm not interested in stepping into a cage, but I think this could be a good way to keep in shape and get into better shape. Is it worth the hassle or should I set my goals on something else?

I think MMA would be an AWESOME workout. I had a buddy that does brazilian jiu jitsu show me some things one time and I could hardly move the next day I was so sore.0

I think if you'r looking for something to keep motivated then MMA would be a good way to do it. I started Thaiboxing at my gym back in November and that motivated me to join the gym where they hold it and I love going to it and the gym. I have people I talk to in the class all the time so we kind of account for each other in that send a quick message to ask if each other is going kind of way and if I'm thinking of skipping and they're going then I pack my stuff and meet for the class, etc. So meeting the people will help you keep coming back also. So, I think it's a win win if your motivation is dwindling as you seemed to express in this post. See if they have a trial day or sit in the class to see how it is before you spend the money, that may help your decision too and get talking with the members.0

I've got workouts, I've done them. I'd like to learn how to actually grapple. I think it would be fun.0
