I think my scale is broken...

YAY! When I stepped off my digital scale today it said 4.6lbs (without anything on it)...I don't have a 5lb sack of flour or anything around though (I'm a college student without a kitchen :frown: ), but I was wondering how you all would suggest I test it to see if it's broken or if I actually weigh what I think I weigh!

What about a 5lb free weight?0

If you don't have any free weights, perhaps you have something of known volume? eg: a jug that's 2 litres?
Fill that to the 2L mark with water, the water should add ~4.4 lbs above whatever the jug weighs.0
