Well the title says it all. Hubby and I got back from our vacation and we def. need to get back on track. I am trying to come up with date nights ideas that do not include indulging in our favorite foods... and wines... ugh. Ideas ???

I love bowling on a date night. Its active and fun and you can make bets with each other. It's also pretty cheap.0

ice skating, watching a movie (bring your own snacks in a bag) a night out at the casino, bowling, hiking at night? lol that could be dangerous
They don't have to revolve around food, but once in a while a glass of red wine and a healthy dinner wont do any harm0 -
1) bowling
2) Coffee to go and a nice stroll on a path somewhere
3) looking at show homes. (i love doing this )
4) watching a movie at home with air popped popcorn.
5) cooking dinner together. (that keeps it healthy) you can do the candles and flower petal in bed and everything.
I know that most of them still involve food... but they can still be very healthy and you can control your intake.0 -
Make a "US" deck of cards--
Each of you take 5 cards (or whatever number you want) and write down different activities that you like to do (walk, play games, hike, etc etc)--but make sure it's not just "go to dinner".
Then on date night, draw a card, and do what it says. It will not only give you a variety of dates (rather than the usual dinner/movie), but they will also be active ones (well, depending on what you've written). Plus, it gives each person the chance to do what they really love to do, and the other one go along with it.
For example (not an active one here), my hubby loves video games, and I hate them, but if we draw that card, I don't get a choice, and I have fun anyways just cause I'm with my husband.0 -
Driving range is fun! Also we actually went to the gym for Valentines Day Or a long walk around the lake or on a trail is fun!0

Me and my boyfriend go on alotttt of dates so our alternatives to eatting heavy have been
morning date-public market!
movie date with air popped popcorn
and for dinner dates, there so many healthy options of food out there, you just have to search. Wine is pretty acceptable too as long as you dont go over bored with it0 -
Make a trip to a museum! Or you could see if there are any free (or paid, but free is better) dance classes offered nearby (that's if either of you enjoys dancing). Might not be super romantic, but hey, it gets you out of the house right?0

Taking lessons together (learn a new language or craft, or perhaps massage lessons)
Observatories or planetariums
Theatre (local amateaur theatre is often cheap and fun)
Spectator sports
Participatory sports (try tennis together or squash or badminton)
Art galleries (big state galleries but also openings of small art exhibitions)
Indoor or outdoor rock climbing (nothing like a bit of adrenaline to get romantic feelings going)
Dancing (clubbing or dancing lessons)
Canoeing0 -
Go dancing! Not only non-food related, but also burns calories. :happy:0
