Literal Food Baby

Does anyone else's stomach actually physically expand over the course of the day? When I wake up my stomach is literally at least like an inch or 2 less than at the end of the day. I know my fiber consumption has been greater than normal lately, but does anyone else's stomach actually bloat inches like this? Is that normal?

OMG! The exact thing happened to me today. After I at lunch and was changing into my gym clothes to work out. I looked down and felt like my stomach was huge and bloated even though I hadn't over eaten today.0

Yep, it happens when i eat a lot, lol. It's always smaller in the morning.0

I definitely feel like this happens to me everyday. Since I've lost weight my pants are usually pretty roomy in the waist in the morning, but by the end of the day they start to feel a little snug. I've been wondering about this for a while now!0

Happens to me frequently, but it's because I'm lactose intolerant and have a sensitivity to wheat/gluten but still haven't managed to stop eating them.0

totally.. almost every stinkin day! The measurement of my stomach around my belly button is 4 inches bigger at the end of the day than at the beginning.. like no joke. that's why i find it so hard to weigh in because some days I'll still be bloated from the day before. Thought I was the only one :grumble:0

Isn't a food baby a poo?0

Your spine compresses during the day when you're sitting and walking around and whatnot, and while you're laying down for an extended period of time, it expands again. Its not a huge difference, but enough to make you slimmer during the morning hours and less slender towards the end of the day0

Yesssssss...I wake up looking reasonably skinny and go to bed looking like chubby bunny.0

The most likely reason is water weight. In the morning you are more dehydrated than in the day or evening.
Also, if you eat more carbs than normal you will bloat, particularly if you go from a low carb diet to eating a lot of carbs. Taking in too much sodium can do this as well.0
