I have a question is my scale bi-polar??? Does anyone else have issues with the scale being within 3-4 lbs within a day? I thought my scale might be broken (it is impossible to lose or gain 5 lbs in one day). I know that I need to start only weighing myself once weekly but I want to knkow if anyone else deals with an insane scale

Also, I'm ready to get rid of any negativity towards myself. Sometimes I get on the scale and it says 139 then the next day or two says 145 or 146 and I get down. I just want to lose 10 lbs and maintain but need a boost. I recently lost 5 lbs by using just the MFP app and joined the website today. It seems like such a positive environment and I am already inspired!

I flux 5-8lbs EVERY day. It's completely normal.
I weigh myself sometimes 2-3 times a day because I find it interesting... but it can also drive you crazy! It's best to weigh yourself at the same time in the same thing... before eating and after your morning pee. That's when you are the "smallest"

Its not crazy....mine does the same thing! I think I know why mine does it though. I have a stone tile floor in my bathroom, which makes the floor slightly uneven. I think that the weight fluctuates because where the scale is placed changes(I dont keep it out all the time, way to tempting to jum on it more than once a week). So I have tried finding a marker on the floor and making sure the scale goes in that same place every time (Coincidentally, its the spot on the floor where the scale tells me I'm the skinniest...lol). I think I might actually have to take the scale down to my hardwood floor so I know its flat and even. Maybe something like that is happening to you also?

thanks, good to know I'm not alone. I find myself weight myself often because i too find it interesting. I will really try to stick to once a week.

that's exactly what happening. I laugh reading your post because my scale is "conveniently" located where I weigh less as well. I guess I've been in denial (by not moving the scale to my wood floors)
