I started out at 188 pounds and i have lost 18 pounds in 9 weeks. Now Ive been at 170 for almost two months and Im not losing anything!!!! I generally eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day and intense cardio on the treadmill for an hour 7 times a week. I really want to lose more pounds but it just wont come off!!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreiated!!! I am starting to get really frustrated, I just don't want to give up I opened my diary for all :explode: a friend told me about a product call PGX what do you guys think ?

If you mix your diet up, for example, cut down an extra fifty calories/day six days a week, and then add in an extra three hundred calories one day a week, your body won't become so accustomed to your diet, and it will work to propel you past your plateau.
Also, switching up your exercises does the same thing--instead of treadmill every single day, do two days of calisthenics or swimming, or something else you enjoy.
Doing the same things over and over is asking to remain in the same place. But you can do this!! No plateau lasts forever.0 -
I would, I started having that problem and I raised my calories and I eat them every night. I am doing better. You might also try giving yourself I night off. I have to force myself not to work out some days.
Another thought is to mix in some strength training, you know mix it up a little.0 -
looking at your diary you need more vegetables, more water and balance out your meals more. Lean proteins and possible add in some low cal healthy snacks during the day0

Do you ever do intentional "cheat" days? Also, is the only exercise you do the stair thing?
If you don't do "cheat" days, I would suggest take one or two then get back to the calorie restrictions.
Exercise wise, I would suggest trying something different. I personally would suggest Interval Training of some sort (check out http://www.intervaltraining.net/ for more information) or through in a couple of Tabata Intervals (you can find information on those here http://www.intervaltraining.net/ as well, and you can google for more information). Or do Metabolic Resistance Training, which is a hybrid of High Intensity Interval Training and Strength Training. You can use body weight exercises for that (I have some info on that here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/rileysowner and hope to add more but with Easter coming up I am running short of time).
Another option is raise your calories a lot, going for a weight loss goal of 1 pound or less a week. Even taking them up to a little (50 calories or so) below you BMR for a week might help.0 -
Take a day off and give your body a break:))0

Hey there, don't get down....hang in there! Just a few thoughts to try and break the stalemate. First you might want to consider mixing up your routine a little. You should try doing some strength training a coulpe days a week at least. Sometimes you need to bust the routine so your body doesn't just adjust and hang where it is. Also, be sure to let it rest on occasion to recuperate. Otherwise, hang in there....make sure to eat back some of the calories you burn exercising and drink lotsmof water. I also was stuck for about a month and it finally budged!
Never heard of PGX.....usually don't try gimmicks or new fads!0
