SO today I have decided that I am going to drink green tea and I have heard varying opinions on what time to drink it. As a general rule, do you think it is better to drink it at night or in the morning?

Green tea has so many good qualities that it's great you are adding it to your diet. It depends on how much caffeine you like per day, for when you decide to have it.

I don't drink anything with caffeine so I buy decaf green tea and can drink it at any time of the day. I generally prefer to have it in the afternoon when I'm getting tired of just drinking water!

I drink green tea all throughout the day. If you're very sensitive to caffeine I wouldn't drink it at night before bed.

make green tea with not-boiling water - let it cool down to about 70 degrees (I sit it in a jug for a couple of minutes. It has a much more delicate flavour. If you can, get some REAL green tea from specialist stores (Iron guan yin is my favourite and it is supposed to be a liver tonic).

The reason people think green tea tastes awful os for the most part they have had it too hot and it has burnt the leaves, which then begin to taste bitter.

Any time of day is good. Good quality green tea leaves can be expensive but you reuse the leaves all day.

I drink it all day. Just because I love it. I didn't know it was supposed to aid in weight loss until recently. I get the loose Yerba Mate from a local coffee shop. Lasts me a long time. Great antioxidant benefit.

I reuse the leaves all day too. Pretty cheap if you do it like that! :)

Good advice here. Green, white/silver leaf teas are much more delicate. Brew them right and you'll enjoy it much more.

I like Octavia Ginger Peach myself (its a white tea). I buy it loose so I can brew it to my own strength.

For those concerned with caffiene, check out the chart from Octavia: http://www.octaviatea.com/pages/Tea-Guide-Page-Eleven.html
