Fun Food Haikus - Join me!

A few years ago we got an awesome thread going for food haikus. I know that I am not the only haiku lover out there, so share with me your lines! I'll start.

pineapple delight
sweet and tastes just like candy
please give me some more!


Anybody else got some haiku worthy food choices?
(if you are new to the haiku, it's just a rhythmic poem like verse and in it's simplest form will have 3 lines,
the first line is 5 syllables, the second is 7, then the third is 5 again.

watermelon sweet
tastes so juicy on my tongue
triangle slices

    oooo - nice idea for Poetry Month!

    Three from Basho (itinerant poet who took on the name 'Banana Tree' :laugh:
    (They followed the format before they were translated from Japanese!)


    Melon
    In morning dew,
    mud-fresh.


    Spring air --
    Woven moon
    And plum scent.


    O bush warblers!
    Now you’ve *kitten* all over
    my rice cake on the porch

    rules schmules, it was great any way! It's fun to stretch the creative writing muscles every once in a while huh?

    thanks for participating everyone, keep em coming, even if you don't wanna use a haiku setup (they are complicated and come in many forms anyway!)
