Half of a hog

So my hubs and I about every 6 - 8 months buy half of a hog from a family friend. They process the meat and everything for us we just pay for it. I find it easy to find a generic pork chop and pork steak in the database here. But I really have no idea how to count the bacon, ham or brats. I do not plan on eating a lot of bacon or brats but when I do, I want to log it as accurately as possible. Any suggestions?

first of that wonderful that you and yourhubby do that, so much betterfor he enviroment!! but just weight it out into portions so you can just throw it inthe pan and enjoy until it's time to log it and you'll know exactly how many grams/ounces it is. :-D0
