Hi, everyone. I'm a 26 year old male from south-central Texas. I'm about 30 lbs from my goal weight.
Since I am an actor aside from my regular day office job, weight and appearance have a huge impact on casting. I have been looked over for roles I should have gotten based on my size. I'm 5'9" 212lbs. I usually average about 195-200 lbs so this is me at a heavier size. The new season is going to have auditions in July and I want to be ready to show them a new me.
I also get teased by other actors and even loved ones (lovingly, I'm sure) about my extra lbs. I'm also not happy with myself. So my goal is to have more energy, improve my self-confidence, and be able to get a handle on my weight before I have a harder time in my 30's.
This is my first day on myfitnesspal and I already think I'm going to like it. I've been successful at losing weight in the past when I forced myself to write down every meal and exercise. This is a much more simple way of recording my daily diet & exercise journal.

Welcome! You definitely get out what you put in. My best advice is be 100% honest with the food and exercise diary. Good luck!0
