I Exercised Today!

I know most of you exercise every day and you've reached this milestone quite a while ago, but I was having an impossible time just doing it! I have a gym membership, I have a gazelle, a bicycle, free weights, exercise videos, yoga mat, resistance band, stability ball, shapeup shoes, and comfy clothes to exercise in and I couldn't bring myself to g et going, start moving, feeling better. So today after I had my morning coffee and had made breakfast for the kids I got my gazelle out and worked on it for 30 minutes! Woot!

It felt great! I still feel wonderful half a day later. :)

I may not exercise every day, but I"ve started and it'll be easier to do it again tomorrow and each day will bring it closer to being routine.

My success for today: Beginning my exercise!

    I exercise 2-3x/week. I HATED (and still don't LOVE) it at first - was NEVER really active, BUT.....I'd really like for my lifestyle change to be something I can feasibly keep up with to maintain my weight. So far, so good. :-)

    That's great! You sound like me - I bought sooo many things thinking if I had easier access I would totally use them all the time, but nope!

    It's wonderful that you did that today. It can make you feel so good! I'm still in the beginning process of making it part of my routine, but I do love the 45-60 minutes of not thinking, stressing, or having anything else to do, and I feel so much better when I walk out of the gym.

    Hope you keep that motivation!

    Good for you! I used to hate the mere thought of exercising, but once I saw how good I felt afterwards, it's become a regular thing for me...if I have no energy, am feeling sluggish, or just have a down attitude a good workout always makes me feel better...mentally as well as physically...love that workout rush!     What I still find amazing is how I used to avoid exercise because of being tired... now I know how invigorating exercise really is! The first step is a big one so great job getting started. It helped me to set small goals with exercise each week and work up. I couldn't even walk 1-2 miles in a week when I started. Last week, after 8-9 weeks of increasing each week, I walked 9 miles and attended 2 Zumba classes! You can do it too! Keep at it!
