My name is Bette. I'm 64 years young. I'll be turning 65 in July. I weighed 207 pounds last November. I have been losing weight slowly since then just by eating smaller portions and cutting out certain snack foods that are my weakness. I went to the doctor yesterday, and weighed in at 185 on his scale. I would like to lose another 40 pounds at the very least. I think 145 is a good weight for my height of 5'8". I have a friend here who goes by the name efue. He has done a fantastic job of losing weight, and looks just wonderful after losing 60 pounds.

Every step is a journey that you will not be sorry for. Learning healthy habits as you go will help you forever. It was hard for me to pick a goal weight when I started and the doctor has made me raise it now that I have lost 70 lbs. Listen to your body. Add a little bit of exercise every day! It does get easier!!!
Good luck on this journey ~ Do it for yourself0
