Dinner Time

After a 10 hour shift at work and 2 hours spent sitting in my Nutrition class I didn't have time to make much of a healthy dinner. I didn't feel like a salad or a TV dinner tonight so I cooked one of those Bird's Eye Viola meals that all you do is dump in a skillet and heat up. I still had some extra cals that I saved up throughout the day so I figured it wasn't too bad. Until I got to the serving size! After I measured out my serving my plate was still more than half empty. I was discouraged but then decided to dump it into a smaller sized bowl and it completely filled it up! It's funny how seeing a full bowl made me OK with the smaller serving size than when I saw my half empty plate. Does this work for anyone else?!

I always use a small plate now!! Makes a huge difference. :)
  • Me too!!! A smaller plate makes me feel so much better about smaller size portions ;).

I use a salad sized plate for my dinner. They say the perception of a full plate really helps, and I would have to agree!

I also use a salad plate for my food or sometimes a smaller glass bowl as opposed to the larger plastic ones I have. I agree it helps!
