Today I was taking an aerobics class, my heart rate was 160 at the end, I figured between warm up and cool down, avg 157. When I put that into a calorie program online, weight, sex, HR, it said my calories burn was around 884! MFP just stated aerobics as something like 567. So which do I log?

No I don't have a personal heart rate monitor, and after tax season won't be able to afford one for a little while.

thanx

going by heart rate is more accurate but i always use the lower value so that i can make sure i don't overeat.

I understand, I don't have an HRM either, but I agree, I always log the lower number just to be on the safe side
  • They sell on at walmart that really is nice for what it is....it keeps you in a target heart rate and helps to count calories with a pedometer. Under $30.
