I've been working out for about a year now and have been slow in losing weight... Like 2 pounds in the last year... lol... I know a lot of it is muscle, but it was partly due to an ACL tear and me going into overeating issues or me eating the wrong things when I clearly know better.
I'm an Air Force veteran who has two kids (one almost 5 year old son, and a 1 1/2 year old daughter). I gained most of my extra weight from my first pregnancy and never lost any of it; basically after he was about a year old I started gaining weight instead of losing any of it. I got pregant with my daughter and did well; only gained 11 pounds with her and ended up being about 10 pounds under my pre-pregnancy weight by my 6 week check-up. So, I've been regularly going to the gym since she was about 6 months old and haven't really done well with losing weight. I can tell a big difference in my fitness level but it's just not going away.
I'm here with the hopes of tracking what I eat better and hoping that the support from all of the wonderful people on here will help me keep up my motivation.
I stay at home with my kids all day and go to the gym between 3 and 5 times a week; usually tuesday through friday. I haven't been doing as much cardio as maybe I should, but I cycle, pilates, yoga, and now I've added a barbell class. Hoping that the increased muscle will help me burn more calories.
Looking forward to doing some huge damage to this fat in this year :)

I know it has helped me alot to keep track of what I eat. Once you know how much it really takes to burn it off, you make better choices. Feel free to add me as I also have the baby weight times 2 to lose. We can help keep each other on track.

    Good Luck
