Fellow water haters, how do you hydrate?

I've been really trying to get my water consumption up to where it needs to be, according to the Mayo Clinic website its your weight/2 = how many ounces per day you should drink. ie 150lbs= 75 ounces/day
I really hate just plain water so I'm trying to find flavored ways I can. I know Coffee and Black Teas don't count as water but Ive been counting:
Herbal/Green Tea with Honey
Sobe Lifewater (naturally sweetened 0 cals)
Gatorade
Water with Crystal Light packets
Any other ideas? Or am I cheating with any of my choices? haha

I am not a big fan of water too but I found an idea a couple years ago... I put frozen (no sugar added) strawberries and blueberries into my water. It sweetens my water just a bit and I usually add some ice around the berries so I can't eat them first and they are an awesome treat when I finish my water!! I drink a ton of water like that!!0

I count those too. Don't care what anyone says they still are liquids to me as long as they are not caffeinated!0

I split 1 cup of water up over the hour...every 15 mins a 4th goes down!!! =P0

I am not a big fan of plain water either. I tried the Mio water enhancers and it has really helped me up my water intake. It really does not take much to give the water some flavor. Mio has zero calories, zero sugar etc. My other problem is that I am also a water snob. I will not drink tap water (we have an RO system in our home) so I will not drink water when we go out to eat either...tastes nasty to me. Give the Mio a try, I think it will help.0

Powerade zero0

Love Mio!0 -
My trainer said it is perfectly acceptable to add Crystal Light into your water! She said if it's Crystal Light versus no water @ all.. then please add it!!
I use Crystal Light
Mio Water enhancer (just be careful on how much you use)
Lemon/Lime with 1 packet of Spenda
Propel Zero
Gaterade Zero0 -
i hate wate but will drink it all day long as long as i have crystal light flavor packets to add to it. i am out so now i need to walk to the store and buy more so i can keep up with my water!0
-
I use to drink like 5 or 6 mountain dews a day and never water. Then when I quit pop I switched to adding propel to my water. I did that for a few weeks and it made a nice lemonade. But it got really expensive so Now I just add alittle lemon juice to my water and I drink 12-15 cups a day. When your body gets use to all the water you will start to love it and crave it!0

i just add some vodka0

I have a small water dispenser in my frige. I cut up come cucumbers, oranges and lemon into thin wedges and add it to the water. It is so refreshing and delcious and I don't feel like it is a chore to drink water!0

Certain waters almost make me gag and I call them toilet water.... because if I was to drink out of the toilet I am sure that is how it would taste.
I know there is controversy about distilled water about lacking minerals etc... but I can drink it with nearly no trouble. I would suggest trying different "types" of water if you can't improve the flavour with lemon etc...
Another controversial opinion but artificial sweeteners scare me (even though I consume them every now and then and they do make water taste better). IMO eating potentially cancerous chemicals is counter productive to what we are trying to achieve. As much as we can read and try to understand the truth behind them I still think if you listen to common sense they are probably no benefit... ok I am done0 -
I add an orange or an apple slice or a splash of someting to spice it up - water with a tiny bit of orange or grape juice or other0

gotta love my Mio's0

Love Mio!
I love Mio, the sweet tea is delicious and it only takes a little to liven things up!0 -

LOL...I was thinking the same thing:)
I almost bought Mio yesterday...I'll have to give it a shot. I love the frozen berry idea.
I like water fine, I just forget to drink it. Coffee is my main drink throughout the day:blushing: . I'll have to try some of these ideas and see if I can cut my coffee back to a pot a day0 -
I line them up on my desk since I don't like cold water...it hurts my mouth...that way I keep track of how much I've had and how much still to go and can pace it. Water isn't my favorite but I do it and hopefully like exercise and healthy eating it will become a favorite too.0

I drink unsweetened ice tea all day long... lots of it. I brew it with half Red Rose tea and half organic green tea. Add a squirt of lemon from the bottle into the pitcher. Sometimes for variety I add some lime juice instead.
I also count my decaf coffee and seltzer water (flavored carbonated water with NO artificial sweeteners, just the one with water and flavoring). You can even spruce seltzer or unsweetened tea up with a bit of juice if you drink juice and it stretches your juice calories.
I drink very little plain water, but when I do I try to get a whole glass down, like when I brush my teeth. I figure that's at least three 8 oz. glasses of water a day when I brush.0 -
i love sparkling water!
if you have a SodaStream machine, you can just fizz your water!
or you can buy bottles of sparkling water from the store.
nothing bad has been added to the water, it's just been carbonated0 -

Totally agree. After I cut out drinking all the crap and forced myself to just drink water, then my body and taste buds became accustomed to it and now it's all I want. It's just hard getting to that point. Hang in there!0 -
I struggle to drink 2 litres/70 ounces of water (apart from 2litres of pepsi before my diet!) and the only way that works for me is to carry a litre sized bottle with me everywhere I go with no added sugar squash in it. When I drink out of this I tend to drink more than I normally would if I was to make it up per glass ... not sure why ... some people say they drink more when its through a straw aswell!
I'm spot on with eating clean most days but I cant let go of the no added sugar squash! I only use an inch of it to a litre anyway - everythings good in moderation right
I've got my strawberry and kiwi flavoured squash in my lap as im typing right now! I reach for it more often when its always by my side!0 -

I read that carbonated water makes your body flush out calcium and leads to osteoporosis.0 -
sliced oranges, lemons, or cucumber slices give water a very pleasant refreshing taste. Just put the slices in a container of water like a pitcher, refrigerate, serve with ice.0
-
I drink mostly flavored seltzer water. I make sure to find the ones with 0 sodium though because some of them do contain sodium.0
