What's the purpose of taking Whey, and is there a difference between whey and whey protein?? Would I take it as a supplement to meet my protein grams? Or is it not used as a supplement. I just know nothing about it....thanks guys

Its Whey protein and eating protein keeps you fuller longer and helps alot while dieting. There are powder and shakes. Shakes can be a meal replacement, powder can be made into a shake or add to things like Greek Yogurt, Oatmeal, Cereal, Cottage Cheese without changing the taste of the food.0

Whey is a type of protein that's fairly rapidly absorbed by the body, and contains a higher amount of essential amino acids than other types of proteins.
There's a good explanation of it here: http://www.bluebonnetnutrition.com/products/aminos_proteins
(not an endorsement of their products, just a decent source of info)0
