Getting serious about getting in shape

Hi! I decided after gaining 20 lbs in the last year that i needed to do something about my weight! My daughter told me about this site and I hope that i can make new friends to help me to meet my goal of getting back down to a healthy weight. I'm 62 years young and want to stay in good shape for my health. I'd like to shed these extra pounds and get back into my size 6 clothes again. I have a history of yo-yo dieting and I hope that new friends can help me cope with this and tell me ways to break this awful habit. Holidays are my down fall...I love to eat and have a sweet tooth that is my enemy. I can do this I know...but need to learn how to keep it off for good.

    Thank you for your reply. I needed that encouragement. I may be 62 but I still like to look pretty and feel fit. I garden and my husband and I like working in the yard together. This is for me! This is for my five grandchildren! Thank you so much.
