 First let me explain...... I find it very encouraging to be able to compare the lbs. to something that is easy to imagine- something that you are readily familiar with. It's just a bit of motivation that I thought that I would share since it seems to keep me on track a little.
My favorite so far, "burnin' butter". Silly?--yes.
4 sticks of butter is 1 lb. So when it's hard to see where it left your body, it's easy to think of something of that mass.....GONE, and for good. SOOOOO....if I ever say it (type it) there it is :-)

I found some more equivalents on the spark people website....so when you think you aren't getting far...think of all that butter, or that cinder block and so forth that you just don't have to carry anymore.
It helps...I promise. :-)

Since I started my weight loss journey I've lost the amount of cheese that an American eats in a year, since I've started MFP I've lost the amount an average house cat. I'm hoping to lose an ostrich egg =?)
