The last stubborn 5....

I only have 5 lbs more to lose before I've completed my goal! I've been so excited, but........I'm struggling. I'm doing the same thing I've been doing while losing weight and these last 5 are being really really stubborn. My goal is not outrageous (like going underweight), I stay pretty well withing my calories most of the time, and I exercise at least 3x a week.

Has anyone experienced this and/or found something that worked?

The weight definitely gets a lot harder to lose when you are so close to your goal. I'm within the last 3 pounds of my original goal and I'm finding it quite difficult to lose them. After seeing the scale stop moving I've really stopped being concerned with the scale mainly because I've noticed a lot of non-scale improvements that I'm really quite happy with. I'm not sure what your goals/stats are, but I'm 5'6'' and 128, my original goal was 125. At one point 3-4 years ago I weighed 118, but that weight loss wasn't a healthy loss and didn't come with a lot of exercise or eating right. Honestly I feel I look so much better at 128 than I ever did at 118. I would keep doing what you're doing and know that it will come off eventually, but that it will take some time. My best advice would be to concentrate on some goals other than the scale. If you only look at the scale it all can get a bit discouraging, especially at the end.

    Good luck!

Try eating very clean, no processed junk. Increase cardio to 4-5 days a week and start strength training for 3 days a week :]

Up the protein, cut back on the carbs, and you will get there!
