I need some opinions.
I currently have a desk job. I lead a very sedentary life. I am interview today for a new job and it is a 4 hour on the job assessment. The new job will have me on my feet the whole time. I am looking forward to working on my feet again. The question is should I count that four hours as exercise seeing how it is not normal for me, or should I let it go?

The other thing is, if I get the job how long should I give my body to adapt to working 40hrs a week on my feet? The postition is for a restaurant manager, so it will be 40 hours and it will be 40 hrs on my feet. I will then change my activity levet to active, but how long should I give my body to adapt, before I figure out a new exercise routine. I imagine the first week or two will be rough.

Thanks

Definitely adjust your activity level up in MFP to keep up the strength and metabolism. I raised mine up from "sedentiary", increased protein, and I wish I did it a long time ago. I can feel the extra boost to my metabolism, again. :-)
