You, unfortunatly, can't spot lose :( -- I have the back rolls, too and I HATE them :(

You'll eventually lose them when you start losing more weight, but TBH it will be a slow process since you lose from everywhere.

Reverse push ups. Lie on your stomach, keep your hips and thighs on the floor, raise you hands to your temples and use your stomach muscles to lift your upper body as high as you can off the floor and back down. Repeat ad nauseum.

Weight lifting - pushing the bar up above your head and back down from a standing position and leaning the bar down to your knees and pulling it back up to your stomach.

As I lost weight my rolls started to disappear. I didn't do any particular exercise just cardio.
  • I have them too and I despise them!! Good luck in finding a way to rid of them :)

Just keep dieting and exercising and it will come off. It was the first place I started losing from. Now if my butt would just move!!!!!!!

It's the last place I'm losing from, but the back boobs are definitely on their way OUTTA HERE! :drinker:

It may not get rid of the fat but it will help support you posture and build lean muscle, but you could to seated rows(I think they are called where you sit on a bench, put your feet up on this support thing and then pull the handles to your chest. Also, arch you back when doing that exercise(at least that is what my boyfriend tells me).

Cardio. It took awhile for my body to finally start using that fat, but eventually it did. I still have a little ways to go - but it is WAY better than it was! Just keep going. Unfortunately, we can't just lose fat in the places we want to do it -- we have to wait for our bodies to do it.

i used to have "back boobs" also. as of today they are almost completely gone and i attribute that to lifting weights as well as cardio. i read an article that said some people just naturally deposit fat there, just like thighs and stuff, and those are the hardest areas to lose it in. so just keep plugging away and it will eventually come off but your body is going to decide where it wants to take fat from no matter what you do.

Yep, we all have some "area". Since you can't spot-reduce, the best thing to do is lots of Cardio, which will shave off layers of fat all over your body.

The resistance exercises outlined above are good for toning and increasing muscle, but you won't see any muscles until you lose the fat. A mix of Cardio, Strength, and Flexibility work is necessary for all around fitness.

This is exactly how it worked for me. It was wonderful seeing them shrink. Even that horrible store of fat that was located on my upper back (looked like a camel hump but not nearly as large. lol) completely disappeared and I can actually feel my backbone through the skin as opposed to a cushion of fat.

I had always wished we could 'spot reduce.' In my case I'd want to loose the love handels first and keep my booty. Unfortunately I always loose my butt first when I loose weight, and even at my thinnest I had ample love handels. *sigh* what can you do...

There is actually a way to do it! it worked for me after i gave birth to my two boys (2 years apart!) Seriously, Tae Bo by Billy Blanks!! IT REALLY WORKS and it's worth the investment! I lost allllllllll my back fat, my tummy, my waistline got back to normal!!! I super highly recommend it! Check out the exercises on YouTube and see if it peaks your interest! I have to tell you i bought P90X and I was NOT impressed! i got back to my Tae Bo dvds! BEST for back fat...ALL fat! I'm living proof! I gained almost 50 lbs with my first kid and took it all off within months!

    Good Luck!! ~:-)

Lungs and Squats while pushing through your heels (this targets your booty). You may just need to work on building up the muscle so that even when you loose fat your booty is still there. I also love to do the stair stepper it gives me a great workout and I could tell after a few weeks that my jeans were looser in the spot where your hamstrings meet your butt, which means my booty was getting perkier!

It goes away on its own with regular exercize and healthy eating. I used to have 3-4 rolls all under my bra
down to my waist and after a year of just doing what i do i have had great results, my profile picture
is me 1 month ago. It takes time you must be patient.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! My niece calls them "back boobies", ugh! But I haven't really found anything to help, but it has gone down (I take pics so I can see progress and I am see reduction). I just do different forms of cardio and strength training. Also, my mom told me if you do cardio that is standing up (elliptical/treadmill etc) it helps burn more fat? Not sure if that's true, but I like to think so! haha

Thanks! I'll try that. I have lots of down-time at work, so I think I'll start building my booty muscles in my own office :)
