Digestion Question

So my husband made me an amazing dinner last night, and I stayed in my calories... but it was a steak. I haven't eaten anything that dense in over a month. I was so bummed this morning when I got on the scale and it said that i had gained a pound.

So here's my question: Is it possible that my body is still digesting the meat and it's the culprit of the pound?

Could actually be a lot of things. I know for me steak some times causes constipation or it could just be water retention from eating too much sodium... I wouldn't worry about it too much b/c if you're staying within your calories goals you should average a loss for the week/month.

yes...your body needs an incredibly large amount of water to digest red meat. you are retaining water because your body needs it right now. I think i read somewhere it's like 6 cups of water for 1 lb of meat or something?
