Hello...I just wanted to get some suggestions for tasty but low cal alcoholic beverages to drink at a GNO?? It's for my 30th and I plan on dancing the night away but also want to have some drinks that aren't going to take up my whole calorie intake for the day! I like liquor, fruity stuff, and no beer. So any suggestions would be great! THanks!!

Shots, shots, shots, shots, shots, shots!

Or make sure your mixers are of the diet variety.
  • I occasionally enjoy a cranberry and vodka. =) At around 170 calories a piece, it's not blowing my calories for the day.

Have a great time and dance those calories right back off!

I Love tequila with diet ginger ale but i dont think they have that soda at the bar. I would drink Vodka, tequila or whiskey with whatever diet soda they have and i would add a lemon juice. Happy Birthday!!!

Spirit of your choice plus soda water. This way you are just counting the cals in the spirits. For example, a tequila and soda is under 70 cals. Be aware though that soda water is 0 cals but not 0 sodium.
I don't think shots will be a smart choice because they are gone on seconds and then you are ready for another! Better to mix with a low cal/no cal mixer to make it last longer. And how about alternating alcoholic drinks with a glass of water or sparkling mineral water. Your body and head will thank you the next day :)

I agree with the shots Vodka is about 65 calories a shot! Have a great Birthday!
  • Skinny Margaritas!
  • Thank you all for the repsonses and the birthday wishes! I'm sure a few shots will be thrown in the night but for the most part I'm thinking a flavored vodka tonic may be what I'll go for. Thanks again!!
  • Actually do they serve seltzer water at bars? That has no calories as opposed to the tonic. I think I'll be better off with that.
