I am confused.......where should net calories be? My calories consumed are 1490, my exercise cals are 910 == net 326

your net needs to be at least 1200 calories, so you need to EAT!

Generally speaking, net calories should be at least 1200. But everyone is different. If I get fewer than 1400 net calories I stop burning fat. Others can tolerate a lower amount of calories.

at the end of the day your goal calories should equal (or pretty closely) your net calories. However if that's just not possible due to a super great workout or something then make sure your net is over 1200 or as close as you can comfortably get to your goal calories.

Before I got an heart rate monitor, I guessed at the calories and was way under. So I started to eat more, and actually have been losing at a better rate.
