Joined MFP recently thanks to my wife! I have been yoyo-ing the last 5 years due to bad eating habits and inconsistent exercise. I really enjoy working out, but really need to find a work-out partner. Im thinking this added accountability with the food tracking will help me realize when I over eat. So far so good! Look forward to hearing from anyone who nees to lose more than just 5-10 pounds! I always seem to lose 20 pounds fairly easy, and then I get back to bad habits and gain it all back! I relly want to get under 245 and stay there! Any feedback appreciated! Happy Easter

    Hi,

I'm lost a few pounds before joining, and now I'm trying to lose 37lbs more. I believe in sweating a lot.
The hardest part I find when adjusting to a new nutrition plan is temptation during the first few couple of weeks.
Probably cause you're shocking your system... keep at it, and eventually, eating well will become habit.

i'm attempting 30lbs initially, but could probably lose another 20lbs after that to be very slim.
I'm trying to take it slowly this time and not get disappointed at losing the weight slowly. It's difficult in the world today with tv showing people losing weight super fast. But i'm hoping the gradual change will be easier than any quick fix on the long term.
Good luck, and feel free to friend me :)

Welcome! It's a journey and going to take you longer than a week (or a month) so keep that in mind.

I have another 17lbs to go for a grand total of 77lbs lost. It hasn't always been easy but it has been rewarding. I remember that even if I have a bad day tomorrow is a new day and just to pick myself up and get moving again and eat healthy again. I allow myself one free meal a month to not worry about it, and I find I pick healthier things now even on those times. I didn't allow myself any free days for about 2 months though because I knew I wouldn't be able to control myself.

I started with just 5 min on the elliptical each day because I was SOOO out of shape. Now I do 30-40 min easily ;)
