exercise to do while sick

I am currently sick and missed all last week of exercise and probably the coming week. As it was I wasnt losing weight with all my workouts. It will be even worse with no workouts. And yesterday I ate 3000 calories (my only bad day in 2 weeks) so I NEED to work out especially now! ...................
Does anyone know of any "workouts" I can do while laying down? I know it sounds stupid but thought there might be something like butt squeezes that might actually work. Or it may be wishful thinking.............

Are you sick from the neck up or chest down? If it is the neck up, do any exercises you want! It is said that is is safe to exercise in this instance. I have even found that I get better faster if I exercise during a cold! However, if it is a chest illness, hold off on the exercise.0

You should really just give your self the additional rest with plenty of fluids. Why try exercise if your sick. When you are at 100% go all out.The important thing right now is rest.Hope you feel better soon.0

I guess it depends on what kind of sickness you have, but if you can exercise anything that keeps you moving would help. If yo had some small hand weight you could do bicep curls, etc. Leglifts, the butt lift idea was good. Hope you get better soon.0

If you're super dizzy, best just to take it easy. Your body is telling you that you need more rest. Hope you make a speedy recovery.0 -
Yep, while you're still in that early phase of a sickness you really need to rest. Exercising at this point just saps your body's resources away from the "front lines" of fighting off the disease. Once you get to the point where you're not dizzy & achy, just have leftover symptoms - exercise may actually help to flush it out, but not in the early stages. I say rest will get you through it the quickest and back to your regular routines.0
