Greetings friends! I just started using MFP a week ago, and I gotta say a couple things.

First: I've used other sites like this before, but this one seems to work better for me. I hope to become at least a fairly active member!

Second: I mentioned that I've been going for about a week now. I'm still in that phase of eating below my limit and feeling really hungry. How long does that last?

Okay, so there's that! I hope to get to know some of y'all while we go along this journey together!

Hi and welcome! I am new to the message board, but have been using MFP since mid Jan.

I think how long that feeling lasts is different from person to person. How many calories are you eating?
Make sure they count, I almost always eat oatmeal, it sticks with ya!

Well, it can be pretty inconsistent from one day to the next. My average days I'm eating anywhere from 1500-2000 calories. My goal is 1960, so I'm still okay, I think. I've had a few days where I've gone over 2500, but only like twice since I started logging. Which granted, that was only a week ago, but I'm still new!

I think making them count and not eating stuff like donuts will probably help out a lot. I logged one the other day, and it did not feel like 250 calories...

Thanks for the encouragement you guys!
