Okay, so I saw this commercial on tv for a "Fun, Fit and Fabulous" conference for women. I'm thinking...sign me up! I went to the website and got so excited that it was only $15, and that included lunch (which I'm sure would be healthy since it's a fitness conference) and a full day's worth of lessons and speakers and free fitness tests...

I was getting ready to print off the registration form when I see that it is "for women of color"...can I go anyway? Someone please please tell me I can go!

Call them and say it sounds so perfect for what you need in your life right now. Ask if there is any problem with you attending.

Sure why not, pink is a color right???:drinker:

Guess the other question is ...would YOU be comfortable there??? Could be, I've known several folk of color who were difficult to try to guess their heritage.

Call and ask them if *chartreuse* counts? Then ask her if you can bring your friend who is salmon. I found a crayon listed as "Macaroni and Cheese" today...That's a color.

I think this is the one that my grandma and her sister go to. I think they direct it to "women of color" because there are certain things that are somewhat different between our lifestyles and such. Esp if they are goin to talk about health issues. I'd call them to see what they say. I hate to say this, don't be surprised if they say no.... from what I hear those conferences get alil ummm "power to the peopleish". Gosh that sounded so rude, but sorry. Just forwarning you. :indifferent:

i'm fairly certain that they couldn't tell you that you are unable to attend...but they probalby could discourage it. doesnt hurt to try though if you're interrested in going, it sounds great!

It may be what you want, but if you spend the day getting dirty looks, then it wouldn't be worth it.

Maybe I will just pass on this...I would love to go but definitely wouldn't want to be uncomfortable or make others uncomfortable with my presence...but if anyone hears of a great women's health conference in PA that anyone can attend, please let me know!
