Clothing shopping...!

Well...I did it! I successfully completed a shopping adventure with minimal frustration (which came when I got to the bathing suits...). I've lost 25 lbs so far, and some of my stuff is just simply too big for consideration anymore. I was going to just deal with it until I had lost another 15-20, but I'm going on a trip down south (to the BEACH!) on Tuesday and I absolutely needed some lighter clothes. I did have a few mini freak out moments ("I'm never going to find anything! I'm hopeless! I hate myself!") but in the end I actually got some good items, including capris! The bathing suits is where I broke down the most, I found an XL top that I really liked, but it wouldn't even cover my boobs practically at all (I'm 36D) so I went screw it and just left...this was at the very very end of my trip so I was pretty exhausted and hungry and ready to go home. The hardest part of the day was seeing all the really tiny and cute clothing that I wouldn't have a chance of looking good in or fitting in for another probably 30lbs, but it actually made me want to work even harder and more diligently about getting fit! I WILL get there!
Another part of the day I felt good about was facing a temptation head on and actively saying "NO!". I was really hungry, I hadn't eaten in probably about 5 hours and decided to go check out the food court while I was in the mall. We have 1-2 taco bells in the state, and one was in that mall, and I was craving a taco! I stood in front of the place and looked up a chicken taco on the fitness app...170 calories each. Was 1 taco going to suffice for me? Probably not, plus I'd want to get the chips with the little cheese sauce thing. So I just turned around and walked away. It was that simple! When I got home I had a delicious meal of greek yogurt with blueberries and some whole wheat tortellini with vegetables. Overall it was a pretty great day! Success feels good!

Great Job... avoiding temptation and rewarding yourself!!
I get the clothes shopping thing... I need to get some new clothing but am worried about spending much money because I don't know what will fit, how long will it fit, etc. Tried to shrink my clothes, but of course when you want that to happen it doesn't. I also need a new swimming suit, especially now that I am going to be swimming several times a week... but that seems a daunting task!
Good job on walking away from the taco! Your dinner sounds like it tasted better than the chicken taco anyway!0 -

Oh the spending money was the biggest thing for me. I tried hard to go to the cheaper places, but of course I find the capri pants that I LOVE at a sort of expensive place. The upside of them is they were size 11-12 (I have literally no idea how they fit, but they did) so they'll probably last me awhile! I got those pants, 2 camisole tank tops and a short sleeved shirt (on sale) for about $90. I think I spent something like $175 total on clothes yesterday...eeek! I wasn't even going to get a swim suit (I don't swim, I'm too shy and uncomfortable about my body to get down that low in clothing) but my boyfriend is forcing me to get one. I might compromise by getting a really cheap one from somewhere and wearing a tank top and board shorts over it (he seems ok with that solution). Good luck to you in your search for a suit! You're right...it's definitely a daunting task, that's for sure! My dinner actually was really great, I was VERY glad that I didn't give into the fast food temptation!
Thanks everyone, I was a bit scared to post this, but I was just so happy about my success yesterday that I had to! You guys are so great and supportive!0 -

Good for you. I find my own food to be much better than anything I can buy out. I was pretty happy to buy xl scrubs instead of 2x!0
