I've been using myfitnesspal for a couple weeks now, but thought I'd drop by and check out the message boards! I've come to the realization that I need some support in this journey. I'm 5'1", starting weight 145, and my goal weight is 120lbs. I'm 29, turning 30 this July, and I want to stop my cycle of losing and gaining 10 lbs every year between the summer and winter. I want to start my 30s off at a healthy weight, and with a commitment to maintain the lower weight.

  • Good for you!! My name is Lisa and I am 49 years old. My husband and I both are using Myfitnesspal. I started a bit earlier than him. I am going on my 1 month and tomorrow is another weigh-in but I have lost 10 pounds so far. I am so happy to have him going on this journey, it has made a huge difference. I owe it to Myfitnesspal because he loves using it! He said the best thing is he really thinks about what he is eating now. We are up to walking 4-5 miles every day. We actually walked about 7 miles the other day. My first week I couldn't walk more than 10 minutes at a time so this is awesome!! Good luck and I am always here if you need some encouragement!
