running with HRM

i ran for 55 min at A 6.0 Pace the whole time and my hrm says i burnt 1200 cal, but mfp says about 680 big dif!! im confused!!! :huh:

    my HR was at 167 to 170 the whole time as well even treadmill said about 600 cal

    **If you have an accurate HRM, I'd go with what it says.

    I found out that sometimes my HRM is higher than MFP, sometimes lower. I now created my own exercise called HRM and tailor it to fit what I did. Or, you could choose the different paces to fit your needs.

    The calorie burn is the important information for MFP, so that you can accurately adjust your calorie intake.

    yes its hard to decide which one is correct cause i don't want to under eat or over eat my exercise calories!

    It sound you ran ~ 5.5 miles. I'm thinking 1,200 sounds way too high. 600 sounds a little low, but I'm guessing you probably didn't burn more than 700.

    For me, I burn ~ 125 or so per mile. So I'd expect to burn ~ 650 for running 5.5 miles.
